It started in San Francisco with a single art purchase. It was at that moment that the door to artists - real, live, living breathing artists - opened. Yes, it was also the art but more than anything I wanted to break through the barrier of gallery and museum walls and be near the creators, to understand the person, the process and the inspiration.
Reaves Gallery programming is intended to educate and inform in a relaxed environment outside of the traditional gallery walls. We serve to make art approachable, support art for positive change and through these efforts aspire to further enhance excellence in the art community.
We provide full service management for your art collection. Services include acquisition, inventory management, contract negotiation, research, education and tours, curation of home or office, and management of loans and donations. Our network of galleries, auction houses, appraisers, legal counsel, insurance brokers, conservators, art handlers and framers allow us to seamlessly navigate the care of your collection.
