Organizers of the Torino, Italy 2006 Olympic winter games selected Dallas artist Chris Lattanzio to create a commemorative work of art to be displayed in the USA House. Artists were asked to capture the spirit of peace in their Olympic artwork. Lattanzio's "Spirit of the Downhill Skier" honors the spirit of the games, the athletes and the host city, Torino.
